Fantastic Clay. Always a pleasure to watch this guy. Who doesn't see though from this footage the limitations of the super long mast? It's holding him back from really nailing the timing, so much lag time. He does do incredibly well with it but... (So easy to armchair critique...

I assumed the problem was overblown or a salt water issue, guess not... these are are stock Go Foil kit with about six months use in fresh water.

Having just dis-assembled for travel I noticed every brass T-nut cracked. My foil has never left the water (on purpose) and I'm not particularly hard on gear...

I'm pretty well in agreement Burchas with 6-7 hours now on this exact foil setup. Initially skeptical I could even get the 850 going on a gusty 4.2 day, then concerned it might be too big for 3.5/2.8 conditions (I'm 90Kg all up). Happy to report though that solid 2.8 conditions were just incredible, no problem holding this setup down (and no weird behavior either!). Despite the 14.5L tail looking a bit portly in comparison to the 850, not feeling any need to go smaller so far, time will tell. One little difference, I chose to move my mast back maybe 3/4" after that first session compared to the 1150 position. I'm using front straps and they're already all the way forward. It's a bit of a different animal than the 1000/1150/1300, but in a good way Quick edit: Also found that so far top speeds are roughly the same as the 1150 though acceleration is noticeably faster.

I'm in Ventura often enough foiling Mondos that I can probably help you out with this one Marty. I have a box to ship right now too.
Haven't a clue what that means SOLD, this one's relocating to Texas (I guess for the lower taxes...)

I suppose it would not have sold as well if they called it, "Apple Watch Old" , but let's face it.
Bigger screen, brighter Screen, Always on "can you read that?" Louder and clearer audio "was that me?" More fall resistant "fuck, again" Twice the battery life "you need to charge these things?" Always cellular "I'm stuck on the John" Improved GPS - caption not required
Fantastic "watch", though. Looks like my simple Trail band set me back into October. Phone is coming early though, so, at least I can chill on Dynamic Island while I envy you early guys.
Just figured out you can start and stop Dawn Patrol with the scroll wheel, half the time I'm starting it from the water and of course that's practically impossible. Should of tried my nose

I'm a sucker for all things titanium and/or carbon fiber but I'll stick with my seven. Despite the difficult operation with wet fingers and not being able to hear Minnie's sexy little chuckle during a session, it works pretty well

To those in attendance of AWSI
Could someone please go to the Cabrinha/DaKine/Neil Pryde/Adventure Sports tent and find out what is going on with Neil Pryde development/distribution and also report on what DaKine plans to offering up for 2023?
Much appreciated!
Enjoy the East winds today!
Is this even open to consumers? Previous years we had to peak over the fence.

Big! releases form Ocean Rodeo/ Aluula. Almost every brand with wings came to check out those.
This black material from Aluula is called Graflyte and it's lighter than the Aluula Gold but almost as stiff, you'd almost won't feel the difference in stiffness on wings under 5m but you will notice the weight difference which is crazy if you know how light the Aluula gold already is.
This 5M is 2.2LBS!
That is crazy, about half the weight of a 5M strike (4.4Lbs). Hope they put a real LE handle on it.

There's just no way a random boards footstrap inserts are going to work with every foil combination. Sometimes the boxes just don't have the adjustment range to make it all come together. On this 4'9 Appleslice I'm using, I couldn't ever use the rear footstrap inserts. They're down the center of the board and my feet are fairly offset side to side. That back foot is all the way over on the leeward rail most of the time.
