4 hour surfs both sat and sun have started riding the 12' Munoz again nothing like the glide of a 12' board when the waves are knee to waist, plenty of pool time up to 40 laps before and after work praying for some wind to take advantage of the late days.

ECSUP

4 mile paddle today. tried to work on speed because there was no wind. CHill "you da man" and you are right about the big board's glide in small surf, it's like you're just out cruisin in a big ole convertible.

Fun downwinder on the eaton prone paddleboard lots of wind swell offshore to play in then a 3 mile bike ride back to the truck no one paddles around here so the bike looks like it is going to get alot of use this summer.ECSUP I wouldnt say im the man just enjoy staying fit and it pays dividens when we do get a swell.

I wish you were going to be able to join us on the challenge. We'll definitely get some water time while you're up here though. Pray for surf...I'll have my fill of distance for awhile... ;D

6 miles today, flat, no wind.  Didn't track time...again...  ::). Did 1/2 hour of sprints mixed with flatwater practice too.

I'd like to get in some further distance but I'm afraid that will be confined to weekends. Just not enough time for much more on most weekdays. Maybe I can bump up the frequency.

Getting my oldest daughter out on a board tomorrow night. She has to work father's day so we are getting onto the water and then grabbing dinner at my friend Sandy's on the beach....fried oysters...yum... ;D

Very nice stoneaxe one of the best things in the world spending time with your children on the water.

ECSUP

Stoneaxe, that is awesome about your daughter. Some of the best moments in my life have been when I was surfing with my sons.

Yesterday 4 mile paddle

Today one hour surf session. Fun little knee high waves, clean and a beautiful morning. The PSH 9'3" takes more effort to paddle into waves and since it is more tippy it is a great core workout, so it was both a good and fun workout.
This sport is the best.

7.5 mile paddle today from Manchester to Marblehead

stoneaxe

4 miles last night at speed..just under an hour.

Today was a mixed session...cruised 3 miles (1.5 into the wind, 1.5 downwind back) with my wife. Then fished for the 1st time this year from my board....paddled a mile out and then let the wind drift me back in (got skunked). Then did a series of four 1/2 mile sprints out and back. Wind and chop had picked up a little but it wasn't quite my washing machine workout. I really like the sprint workouts. My arms feel like spaghetti afterwards. With the wind and chop and the hard paddling everything is getting a workout.

Still swimming. Went to see my mom sat and was able to paddle on the river she lives next to in washington nc about an hour in sheet glass was funny to see all the people pointing and then taking a picture with their cell phone even the fisherman would stop and pull the phone out to take a picture funny stuff. Fun surf on the 12 footer today 5 hours turned a friend on to it also he had a blast will be getting one next week, slowly catching on here.

stoneaxe

Hehe...I know what you mean about folks pointing and taking pictures. Had a boat stop and ask if I was OK today (1.5 miles out). Thanked them for stopping but explained I was just out for a "stroll".

10 miles today. Did 7 in just under 2 hours ( 3 of it into 10 mph wind and chop, 1.5 downwind) then had to take shelter from a passing thunderstorm, then back out to do another 1.5 upwind and 1.5 downwind.

I love heavy upwind paddles. I wish it had been choppier though. I had a good overall workout today but the really choppy days make such a great workout.

Nice... I have done the Bev & Salem route so far...

ECSUP

4.5 miles this am on the 10'6" board. Good work out.
Treestand, let me know if you would ever like to do a distance paddle or supsurf. I think I might have met a friend of yours who was kayaking in M-Head harbor.
