1 hour surf session this am. Thigh to waist and glassy. Then spent some time on the Vasa swim trainer. Been surfing on a C4 10'6" and doing my distance paddles on a Laird 12'1" Anyone considering one the "downwind" boards for this event? Stoneaxe I have a call into Deanno at C4,I'll let you know what happens.

I'm getting frustrated. tweaked my shoulder in a pearl in shallow water with bodhi and issel last sunday at nantasket and it's still hurting. One of those ..hurts much more in the days after falls. Didn't even bother me when I did it. I may get out late today for a short gentle paddle just to keep from going nuts.

Looks like we may a have The Point to use for the day. We'll just have to take turns.... ;D

Thurs took my girl and one of her friends for a little paddle on the ICW was her friends first time she is hooked already looking for a board. Today went solo for a distance paddle and about 1 mile into it a couple of surfing buddies come rolling up in their sailboat they threw me a line and towed me along very nice even had cold beer cruised along for a while and then switched with one of my friends and let him cruise after a bit said goodbye to them and the ladies on board grabed a cold one and paddled home. Life is good.

7 mile paddle today.Think I'll paddleboard tomorrow and hopefully there might be some surf on Monday,if not then another distance SUP.
Bob, you interested in a surf or distance paddle on Monday??

stoneaxe

3 mile easy paddle with my wife today. Beautiful day, calm and glassy, great day for a 1st paddle together.

Mike, I have to stay local monday. We are getting ready fo party next weekend for my daughters graduation and I have a ton of yardwork to do. I'll be getting on the water for sure but probably just Plymouth beach. After next weekend my schedule opens up and I'll be more able to get up north to join you.

Stoneaxe, no worries, we'll get lots of distance workouts in between now and Aug. 9th. Have fun with Sue and her new board and Congratulations to your daughter.

Spent 3 1/2 hours Suping today, went offshore in the early morning paddled north for about an hour then came into the surf and worked my way back about halfway found a nice sandbar making something of the little waves stayed on that bar till the tide got it and then paddled home so much fun to search for a wave while your in the water than to drive around looking.

4.5 mile distance sup today. Pretty good head wind, lots of chop and kind of a side swell in the ocean; fun, downwind and smooth in the harbor, unfortunately it was blown out so no place to surf. Thank goodness for the Laird board in conditions like today, the thing is unbelievably stable
Awesome job CHill, sounds like you're getting a lot of time on the water.

No water time today but did 3 miles on the treadmill and some weight training for 1/2 hour in the morning. Then moved 5 yards of loam with shovel and wheelbarrow (rebuilding my garden) 5 more to go.

Looks like a week for distance paddling. I'll get at least one session in with Sue and a couple of long ones in too. Shoulder is finally feeling better.

Surfed the Sup this morning for about 2 hours small with a little texture best thing that happened was my fiance finally caught some waves and was able to get a couple short rides in so stoked for her. Thanks ECSUP I try to get on the water at least 5-6 days a week started splitting my none surf days between the SUP and the paddleboard, good to see someone else doing the same thing it definately works different muscles but thats a good thing.

20 min morning workout 10 treadmill/10 weights Thunderstorms tonight so no water time. 3 mile treadmill, 1/2 hour weights.

I need to get the training schedule up on the website. Doesn't look like anyone needs any pushing though. I know everyone is getting out often. its just not all showing up here.

I'm going to start mixing up my training some as well. Adding the running and weight training in short workouts each morning. I might make it 1/2 hour and add in 10 mins of yoga. I could certainly use some additional flexibility.

4+ mile ocean paddle this am. 2+ mi. downwind and then 2+ miles back into a 8-10 mph headwind. What a huge difference the wind makes; it was 21 minutes downwind and 39 minutes back into the wind for the exact same distance. Unfortunately, I had to go to work because it was a beautiful morning and there were some small sets rolling in. As always though, it was just great to start the day on the ocean.
