Last night was insane! Made a couple on my SMIK over towards Hooterville that were ridiculous.
This morn clean leftovers.
The guard at chair six made my day. He saw my biggest wave last night on the Rainbow Board. Cleaned up every body and everything. Unless you were too far outside! Hehehe.

First was awesome last night. Long boards, short boards, SUPS,  even a .rescue board ( knee paddled into some bombs by a lifeguard ).

Florence groundswell starting to show.

Had a new leash as I snapped my Balin in NH the day before. I can still swim.

A short violent surge from Michael delivered a crazy disorganized swell to Second Beach early afternoon.

First was small and clean by the cliffwalk.
Decided to grovel on my SMIK Short Mac.

While I am in the water large and larger swells appeared. More and more people saw the Rainbow Bridge catching waves. It got crowded.

At the peak my four set waves were not reachable by the tip of my paddle. Yowsah yowsah yowsah!

And then it got dark. Spooky.
This morning it was still waist chest clean  and fun. Usual suspects included Whatsup, PDLSFR, Fanatic J, and many more.

Fall is here! Gloves, duck hats, booties and other accessories made the cold drizzling rain FUN!

Actually the glassy groundies were kuhl!

Todd had fixed the black and blue - yellow actually - machine! GuD to see him and it stylin' !

Rumour has it a certain KDOG was at another location over the bridge!

Yep. First time in a full suit since last winter and I wasn't happy about it. I'm still holding out on gloves, booties and a hood though. It was fun where I was at until all of the late-sleepers showed up.

WhatsSUP

In the last 2 1/2 weeks I've gone from spring suit (short sleeve and legs) to a 3/2 then to a 4/3 this am - thought I would be waaaaay over dressed this am - not so as it was damp, cool and eventually rainy.  Hopefully we''ll get some decent Wx and another month of 3/2 before the heavy stuff comes out....maybe wishful thinking!

Great to see a bunch of the NE Zoners!!!  Cleve, Derek, Jeff, and and host of others with some great rides and stoke for the crowds!  And then there was the little 5-year old with his dad!  Little dude was getting pushed in by his Dad and legit surfing into the shallows!!!  Sooo funny/cool!

Good day!!

I was planning on coming down Sat morning but was sick in bed.... :P....we need a puke emoticon..... ;)

I'm hating the cold....never used to bother me but getting older I've suddenly started hating it. I'm going to need a new suit and do more to stay warm this year. Can't wait until my wife retires so we can head south for the worst of winter.

Ahhh, Stoney - bummer,...sorry to hear mate! Hope ya found sum-thin,

After dos (2) trips, about 5 min trip (to/from my local) earlier this am, and returning home and reviewing the wind forecast, it became pretty evident that the better part of the day was gonna be between noon and 3pm.  Yep, laughed my arse off at myself and a host of others getting some ridiculous rides and some nice "pitted, so pitted" rides!!  Glassed off to waist to chest/head high perfection  - Mr. Big and I had an absolute blast for well over an hour.  I left my SS3 in the truck and I REALLY wished I had set it up.....Mr. Big on the Smik, and I was on my "Creek". We hooked up on one wave (a left-ee) that broke far outside and friggin-A - I tailed Big for one of my longest rides of the year - one of those rare awesome green waves that doesn't break and just goes on and on and on and ya just bop and weave, slip and slide on and on.......soooo funny.

What a day!!!! Still smiling........  8) 8) 8) 8)

Wind abated. Went to Second. Hahaha. Went to First.

Rode my RNB. Wind died. Absolute glass. Everyone left for reasons that made NO SENSE.

Changed boards. They're like dogs and need to be exercised.

Grabbed the SMIK paddled out and saw a tall fella, shades, on a Sunova. Who dat?

Guess who? We had so much fun. The surf gods and goddesses conspired on our behalf. Sunny and warm with increasing size on the tide. Absolute glass. Got shacked on the inside.

Proners got excited. I couldn't believe it. Todd was killing it on his Sunova.

After an hour or so the wind shifted onshore and our magical interlude was ovah!
