hi,

i am about to order this fine board...i just wanted to know if anyone has any "real" pics of the 2011 colors ? (not ones from the webshops....)

I have a few friends with the new colored 2011 14' Glides.

The AST and carbon/wood look the same from above and from the side but the AST has a yellow bottom and the carbon/wood has a white bottom.

The new hand/holes are great.. I like the new white/yellow look.

Any major differences compared to the 2010 Glide 14 AST?

I bought one last summer (after following DJ's vids/pics/experiences with his Thanks DJ!) and loved it all season. Sold it at the end of season now trying to decide which board to get next.

Has anything "better" come along for training/fast/distance paddling or is the 2011 Glide still one of the better ones?

I still have the 12 foot in the back of my head simply because its a little smaller and better to handle/store. Maybe even a little better in the surf? Ah jeez i gotta make up my mind till next week

i think they left the windsurf plug out on the 2011 12 glide models

as much as i like the bigger boards (14,17) i made a decision and took the 12 foot version. the main reason is handling and storage..
my surfshop had a deal on the 2010 model that i could not refuse.

i love the looks of the board, and i will post a personal review later....

Mine was just like that and it was great for catching little runners when paddling down wind.
