Ian from Peekskill, NY. I'm usually doing flatwater on the Hudson, but I surf every now and then. I really need a dedicated flatwater board. I'm doing way too much distance for an all-around.

Live in the pine barrens(Forked River) of NJ- but can have my feet in the Atlantic in 26 minutes (if I catch the lights green on rt 37)

90% surf or cruise seaside park area

10% flatwater/downwind Barneget Bay

Any Ocean County paddlers looking for downwind runs on the Bay we have a trailer setup to handle at least eight boards.

PDLSFR

Derek here in Somerset Mass.

I'm usually at 1st or 2nd Beach Newport RI from May til November (waves or no waves - but I prefer Head High to Overhead +).

I've done the Challange on Charles and currently being motivated to do the Cape Cod Bay Challange (piece of 8 you better keep pushin me all winter).

My passion is sharing the Stoke and Aloha vibe with as many people as possible.

SUP passion is flat water - I wouldn't know what to do with a wave if it hit me (although it would be fun to try)  I've been spending a lot of time in the Mohawk River lately

Bob....grew up in Boston, now on the south shore of Mass, looking to move to Plymouth sometime soon.

howzit...my name is Matt.  I grew up on Cape Cod, left for a bit and explored the wonderful  but landlocked state of VT and the melting pot state of CT, now I gratefully reside again on Cape in my hometown of Sandwich.

Im stoked on all the realms of this sport, but attempting to surf is what brought me to SUP and learning to SUS is what will keep me here.  Otherwise I dig the racing, DW, and would like to windSUP eventually...

I generally SUS Nantasket on the S Shore and 1st or 2nd Beaches in Newport. Also do a ton of "training" paddles around Sandwich/Osterville areas.

Two Things I Wish the Cape Area Had:
1) Weekly race series May-Oct
2) DW run crew

Todd- From Plymouth. Surfing is my passion. I didn't get out of the Nantasket water until after sunset on Saturday. It was just a day with alot of stoke amongst brethren. I like being part of a group with a common passion.
I also enjoy the exercise and exploration of flatwater. I just did my first CCBC and enjoy cajoling PDLSFR, SUPROCKET, and other SUSers to spread their horizons and experience this different breed of stoke with me next year.

Hey Jerseypaddler...I'm Gary from Waretown. I'd love to meet up for a downwinder one day. I'm always looking for someone to paddle Barnegat with, I don't see too many people down my way.

supguy35 (Keith) is a good guy, definitely hit him up for demos if you're in the Jersey area.

Ed from Cape Cod, W. Hyannisport area. Windsurfed Cape Cod for 30 years gave it up due to injuries, seriously started paddleboarding this year. Started off in April by buying the wrong board (to narrow 27") couldn't even stand on the thing without falling in or my feet going numb as SUPTHECREEK can attest. He's the one that dragged me out in April. After that horror show my goal was to just make it across West Bay in Osterville. Doing the 5 mile loop around Oyster Harbor was totally out of the question.

Long story short... five boards later I found the right board and last Thursday I did my 25th loop around Oyster Harbor. Debating about paddle surfing next year, five knee surgeries has me wondering. Right now I just love being on the water. I see this sport doubling in size in the Northeast in a year or two. I also made a lot of new friends doing this sport. I see me doing this for years to come.
