Gary, we are mintues from each other- if there is no surf me and my bud launch form berkeley island park after work. Usually paddle into wind for 1/2 hour then turn and DW.

We have been meaning to do a point to point DW but lately works been getting in the way. There is a park at the end of beach blvd in forked river that's 5 miles to Berkeley park.

We have 14' boards for the bay. Watcha paddling?

Scott

Live in the pine barrens(Forked River) of NJ- but can have my feet in the Atlantic in 26 minutes (if I catch the lights green on rt 37)

90% surf or cruise seaside park area

10% flatwater/downwind Barneget Bay

Any Ocean County paddlers looking for downwind runs on the Bay we have a trailer setup to handle at least eight boards.

Hey Jerseypaddler...I'm Gary from Waretown. I'd love to meet up for a downwinder one day. I'm always looking for someone to paddle Barnegat with, I don't see too many people down my way.

supguy35 (Keith) is a good guy, definitely hit him up for demos if you're in the Jersey area.

Started flat water paddling 3 years ago.  I've done the 26 mile SEA Paddle NYC the past 3 years and the 22mile Dean Randazzo Paddle for a cause the past 2 years.  I've been surfing for over 30 years and at first had no intention of SUP surfing but I got the bug and love it much more than flat water paddling.  I'm now trying to get save some coin and I am leaning towards getting a 9'2 Fanatic Allwave.

started Sup 3 years ago, became obsessed in short order, and opened Soposup,a dedicated SUP shop in S. Portland soon afterward.  Mostly into surf, but love exploring distant, hidden shores (for more surf) and also shaping my own boards.

Shawn (exetersup) here!
I live, surf and distance paddle NH's small 13.5 mile coast. And some inland rivers/lakes. And the longass CCBC, which everyone on here should consider. IT's good for the soul. And good for the cause.
I love to surf. Gimmie overhead and scary (that's in NH standards) and I'm SUPer stoked.
Snow SUPing is pretty special, you should try it sometime ;D
And it is possible to downhill ski/snowboard and wave sup in the same day around here!

Chaser (Mike Chase...get it) chiming in -

I enjoy skinny-skiing, going to bullfights on acid...sorry it goes along with my avatar.

I live in Norwell, MA south of Boston.  Started SUPing in 2009 and have managed to make it across Cape Cod Bay 4 times while participating in the CCBC.  I also help organize the CCBC events and will say that through being involved with SUP and SUP events, I have met more genuinely cool people than in anything else I have been involved in to date....go figure.

I love all aspects of SUP...surf, distance, racing, DW....My proudest SUP moment yet was at this year's CCBC Late Summa Costume Paddle when my 7 year old son Jackson finished the mellow 3-4 mile paddle by himself while dressed as a rasta-man......just makes Dad get a little teary  ;D.  I have him training for the 2015 CCBC crossing of the Bay.

I hope to see you all out on the water soon!!!

Be Well,

Chaser
