Gear Talk / Re: Ke Nalu hot glue dry time?
March 09, 2014, 03:58:37 PM
I sell these in store (nzboardstore) and have assembled quite a few for customers.

We heat the glue and shaft at the same time - twist in - pull out half an inch to get the bead of glue back inside the shaft - then set the angle of the handle and scrape the excess glue off with the end of a steel ruler, this way you can keep the excess and reuse it later.

Dipping the handle in water to cool the glue can set it faster.

Great to be able to set the paddle for the customer instore and then send them off to paddle right then.

Great thread
Love seeing all the other dogs getting on board

Lou loves a paddle before work, teaching him to surf as well.

Gear Talk / Re: coreban 14 turbo.... gimmick or proven
September 16, 2012, 02:32:55 AM
so far, and i have only ridden once, its seems pretty dam fast. Yes its tippy, but so is a 23' wide Sb ace and folks race them all the time.

Some odd wake coming off the back I think due to the turbo hull.

We have a top paddler in NZ about to use it on a 25km paddle so will post result after that.
