yeah, I'm finally pretty comfortable with it.  I need to video that and share.  I basically just get the bar and lines unwrapped, let the bar sink in the channel where it's deep, go to the kite, grab the 2 lines, let the wind inflate and pull the kite away from me (inflated on the surface of the water), eventually the bar arrives to me and I'm flyin.  As long as the wind is good it works pretty smooth.  Hope that makes sense.  If there is a beach near by which there usually is I often just launch from there but water launches are becoming more comfortable.

Are you experimenting with some Kite SUPing would love to learn some new tricks if so.

Cheers,
Ben

No kite SUP'ing yet, but that may change soon, given your success and that I'm moving to a kiter's beach in a couple of days. My goal is to be able to launch/retrieve/relaunch from distance/racing SUPs on the open ocean.

How close to the wind can you "sail" with the Hydra?

Thanks!

Mark
