I want an inflatable board which is hard/stiff and durable.
Now I'm surfing the internet and I found some like de C$ waterman, Uli, Red paddle, en Shubu but wat is the best / hardest board? I tried the Hobie inflatable but that was a bit like standing on a bed, I could push my heels or tooth into the board a bit what makes it very unstable, so that's why the stiffness is very important for me.

I want to use it for flat water touring and modest North Sea waves

Uli for me -  stiff - tough and dependable.

I'm interested in this one as well.  I think I'd like an ULI FAQ but I sure do want to try before I buy.

Anyone know of an ULI dealer in BC or Washington, or is it mostly online?

ULI.. all the way !

I used to have 2 ULIs... Now Ionly kept one for Travel.

I had a chance to "visually" compare with 2 others... and if I had to buy another inflatable, it would be another ULI.  ;)

Thx

PT Woody

If you can delay your decision, there may be another player in the inflatable market very soon. One of our most respected SUP brands.  :-X

supErik

PT Woody, you make me very curious which brand it is.

And about ULI are the boards from the same factory as the Red paddle? Because that board I see here in Europe sometimes (there are only a few SUPpers (maybe a few hunderd??)  in the Netherlands)

I consider my 10" Uli a legit surfboard.  Rigid beyond belief and well made.

linter

ULI's are rigid as all get out.  plus, ULI is a legit brand.  i know of one other player out there where some far-east maker called him up and said something like, hey, let's inflatable your name; big boys blow you up long time.  and so he did.  the only kind of thought that went into that one was $-love.

ULI ALL THE WAY !!!!!!!!!!! I've owned 6 ULI'S AND THEY just keep getting better and better. The FAQ is awesome. Great People, great service, great product.

sbsup11

Speaking of rigidity: how many PSI do you guys think that an inflatable should inflate to for best performance?

sbsup11

Heard that 15PSI is pretty standard?

supErik

And any experiences with the Red Paddle board (hopefully compare to ..)?
Because I never saw an ULI in Holland and they do sell  Red Paddle

Take in serious consideration also the inflatable C4 series, they have the a similar (if not the same) quality of the Uli board, are very tough and largely used also to go down on the river.
I've have the 10'6" and I'm very happy with it but now  I'm in the process to shift to the new 12'6"  (need for speed is calling me  ;D )

captain twang

the guy that i bought my used  c4 atb from has the inflatable counterpart. he is very happy with it. says it feels like the real thing.

Keep the niche companies in business: Go ULI all the way.

Other brands have been making 'em and soon others will, and I'm sure they work okay, but they make enough $$ off their current "hard" boards and other goods.

ULI great company, great product; always working to improve and great customer service. Keep 'em in biz. Few of my pals have them and I wish I had one too...
