Looking for an affordable surf & SUP destination ?
Fuerteventura north coast is a good option coming from Europe mainland. I spend my holidays there (twice a year) and since I have started paddle surfing, it's my favorite spot... There is a lot of breaks (beach and reef) and it's never overcrowded. The best season is from september to december, but good waves conditions can be found al year long, except june / july months (to windy !).
A lot of information can be found here, with detailled spots guide (using Google Maps), local surf reports and some web cams with live view on the spots :

A special mention for the first cam on the list, "Corralejo El Campanario", showing a panoramic view of the Corralejo bay, with the "Punta Helena" o "Rocky point" reef-break in the middle.
See you here  ;)

  Cool,

My father in law lives on Lanzarote. Can see the North Shore of Fuerteventura from his kitchen window

Haven't been there for years and have been thinking I need to get back (and the breaks on the north east there...)  just one more reason to go now

I was in Corralejo last October. Was lucky enough to have light winds and stayed in a hotel just across the road from Rocky Point. Managed to have the outer reef working for a couple of days and made a video.
Will be back out there next October for two weeks.
I made the mistake of taking my own board out there last year but would recomend that you go to lineupfuerteventura.com to hire a board. They have a great choice and excellent vallue for money.
