Last year I was looking for a skunk free board. Something I could take to the beach and know I could get on the water no matter what the conditions. Something I could go on a longer paddle/tour around with if no waves but also surf if there was a bump. Adding windsurfing sail would be a bonus if there was a breeze. I ended up getting an Imagine Crossover 12'. Checked all the boxes and has been a great board. Definitely better touring board but it will catch a wave and I've sailed it a few times, good family board as well. What I really wanted though was a Sunova Search. Only problem was about 3x the price as the Imagine. However one came up used locally recently and I jumped on it! This was also the 12' and it does everything better. It's lighter and stiffer, surfs waaay better, paddles great for some distance. Super stoked on this board so far. Only had it out in choppy 2-3' waves but it caught everything and actually quite good on a wave. Can't wait to get it on some bombs though! I still have my Jimmy Lewis Destroyer for good clean days but if you've never surfed a big board you are missing out!

Using a 9" FCS longboard fin right now. Tracks well yet plenty turny on a wave.
