I just picked up my custom 7'10' x 30.7" x 116L board today. I had my 8.2" that I loved scaled down, with a little larger swallow tail and razor sharp tail edges. I put it to the work in some bumpy afternoon chest high waves. I think it was almost as stable as my 8'2", a little looser and definitely a bit lighter and easy to throw around. 7'10" is on the left and a 7.6" x 28" is the one on the right.
I think it is a winner!  :D
I'll keep those interested posted!
Thx,
FM

Did you bring in Ed on retainer and is he living in your garage or something? What's the deal? ;D ;D

Nice East Coast shape for sure!

That IS awesome!
I really love the Corevac layup, but i have not  been crazy about my Cannibal....wrong rocker for me, and the nose needs pullin.
Your board looks super sweet....This may be the ticket....between Josh, Mark and Ed, the East coast is rising!

Now if we could just get Ed to put down those clubs.

And yeah i like those rails  :)
Too many for the rack
Some in the shack
Some under decks
Some have straps

Close, he lives about 2 miles away! Semi retired, he just wants to shape boards, golf, surf, etc.
He's also OAM to get his boards dialed in for EC surf! Ya, I'm a Guiney Pig! But a good one lol!

Yes, Ed is very keen on getting the rocker right, one size does not fit all, but getting that initial speed early into the wave makes a huge difference. The family defiantly has a good pedigree for building water craft!
I think he does spend at least 50% of his time with a golf club in his hand, he's a lucky Bugga  ;)

Update on performance is wow!
I love it!
4 sessions now, varying conditions and zero complaints!
That's not like me  8)
The CoreVac Construction is sweet. It has a shell like sound and feel, strong light, but flexible too!

Sounds great!

Sweet looking board.....I think its a great match to have the Angulo's in Corevac.

His shapes will do justice to the construction... and vice versa.

You are a lucky man to have that connection.
