Fat bikes.

That is COOL bike....don't laugh but....is there a "cruiser" version? Something like a 3 speed that would be good for crusing the beach and dirt trails with out being a full in trail/mountain bike?

The first fat bike that I ever saw was here.. http://fatsandbike.com/ .. and they do a cheap three speed cruiser.. That was my original choice.. (beore getting my Moonlander) They have these cool spider patterned fat beach tires.

Everyone says that they must be soooo slow.. But they're not.. This (vid) was a few weeks ago while in Merimbula.

I checked the review on the Nexus 3 shifter and it wasn't the greatest in regard to dirt, sand etc.  Probably nothing is but wouldn't you be wearing those three gears out quicker than say an Alfine 8?

Th bike shop I go to is called The Path. Their Live Oak location has a handful of fat bike on hand on hand to try or buy. Just an FYI.

I got a Sun Spyder and put an electric hub on it as well as a Nexus 8 speed internal hub...LOVE IT!  I use it to cruise around the beach in FL and pull my paddle boards to the surf

I ended up putting a deposit on a bike with Fat Sand......I guess it's a hybrid of sorts.....basically, it's a Fat Sand Cruiser 2 with a different seat and the Boardwalk Cruiser  handlebars.....

I'm pretty excited together my Fat Sand Bike.... I actually asked them to hold it till spring,....but I may just have them send it right away.....since we have no snow to plow or go snowmobiling.....

Yesterday I took my fat bike up to my old mt bike training ground.. One Tree Hill is a very tough climb and the downhills are scary fast.. It was a last minute decision to throw the GoPro on.
