Never been to Catalina Island and would like some ideas where my wife and I should stay (hotels).
Thanks!

Noticed you hadn't received any responses so figured I would, although I may not be able to give you the info you are looking for. Have you ever been are you familiar with the island?? What time of year are you going? What are you planning on doing? There's good paddling, good diving, good fishing .. lots of beautiful coves. The most of it is a very quiet mellow place. Avalon gets busy on a summer weekend, especially if a cruise ship is in port.

Anyhow- I have spent quite a bit of time there, but always on boats, never in a hotel. I don't know what level of accommodations you are looking for and couldn't get too specific about that. I can tell you that I wouldn't be too concerned about location as there is only one real town; Avalon, and it is tiny. You can walk the length in 15 minutes, so everything is close to everything, there are a handful of restaurants, 1 grocery store, 1 hardware store a single screen old movie theatre in the old Casino... you get the idea. Off the top of my head, if it were me, Id look into/think maybe a good call is to look into a vacation rental condo in Descanso Bay around the point from Avalon Harbor.  If they are comparable in price, its a killer location. Anyhow... hope this helps in some small way.

Unless you are talking about the Catalina Island in Panama... or another... then never mind.
