been surfing and sup'ing for almost 5 years
skateboarded for 17 years now snowboarded for 16....still do both.

ive broke many bones and lots that effect my paddling. had a compound fracture of my ulna and radius left forearm 2 years ago skateboarding. 2 plates and 16 screws in there for life.

dislocated left shoulder....dislocated my pelvis....broke 5 ribs in the right side of my back...ankles and wrists all broke a few times. that's skateboarding for you. my body cant take it much anymore so i surf instead :D

I'm constantly amazed at the number of people that find SUP to be therapeutic. It doesn't seem to me that it should be, especially as practiced by all the busted up old adrenaline junkies on this forum, but it obviously is.

I just do it so I can sleep at night.  Worked last night.

I bet. Me too. Went to the MAC to see the new Woody Harrelson movie. The trailer looked good. Woody was there with a bunch of his very odd buddies. Seems like an interesting guy, but the movie was a piece of self-indulgent crapola.

Will turn 59 in 2 weeks, I try to paddlesurf or crawl surf or windsurf everyday.
Some days everything hurts some days all is good.
I'm older than you too?  And by 3 years to boot!
You're retired and I'm still working, what's wrong with this picture?

I need a new life, no, not really, I'm living the dream  8),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but still working.  :-\
It takes a quiver to do that.

I took my retirement of sorts in my 20's.  (long story) Figured (with my infinite wisdom back then) that I should do fun stuff when I was young and able and did.  So that was good but the still working in my 60's part ... like you, WW, kinda feel like I didn't plan well.  Still I'm outdoors enough to keep up my yearly harvest of basal cells.  Plus when you work, your appreciation level for everything you have, stays high.  So we have THAT going for us... Gunga, gunga galunga.

Yes, cole, don't change a thing.  It wasn't a criticism.

Although I am tempted to start a "Things I wish someone had told me when I was cole's age" thread.  It could be a pretty good one.

Mike,

Maybe as a Christmas miracle a photograph of the freshly created stump will be placed in your virtual stocking.

One never knows.
