Can anyone help me with installing rail tape on my new board. With all the curves I am getting lots of air bubbles and peaks in the tape. Looks bad but probably functional. HELP

warm it with a hairdryer

grow a third arm - or get someone to help !

To me the important part is not to place it over the hard edge of the board, usually found on the back third of the bottom side of the board, you need this edge for turning, I seen guys just cover the edge with rail tape. and if you plan to strap you board down on roof racks you dont want the strap to eat up the rail tape so you dont want to put it too much on the bottom of the rail.  Dont be affraid to apply it in 3 or 4 seperate pieces, noboday said it suppose to be one continous strip

For what it's worth-I use gaffa tape (colour to match the board)-cheap, easy to apply and re-apply.

Could it be gaffer's tape?

If so, it looks like duct tape but is used by the guys that do lighting on movie sets.

I don't know what the diff is, but would hope that the adhesive isn't as messy.

gaffer tape has a matt surface and is sticky but not permanant
ansd so easily removed
