Some Site Changes

Hi Guys,

I have made a few changes to the site to accommodate some growing areas of use and to hopefully offer a better experience to users who aren't interested in those topics.  No content or links have been removed or changed.  Please note that users can collapse categories (+/- at the far right).  This is a work in progress.  Thanks!

Not clear on how it works. So a topic will continue to show up in the 'recent posts', but the category will be collapsed in the 'forum'?

My first page has only recent posts followed below by recent topics. I have to seek out the forum page.

I never visit the forum page. I have the Unread Posts page bookmarked.

It would be cool if you could split Recent and/or Unread posts into those three categories, General, Foil, and SUP.

The way it is now, Recent/Unread posts is totally overwhelmed by Foiling. That could be one reason why the SUP forum is dying. It would be nice to be able to filter Recent/Unread posts by category.


Edit - Ah ha, I figured it out.  Just click where it says Unread Posts in each category. I took me a while to notice it.

I went to the main page, collapsed each category and bookmarked that page. Now I can just click Unread Posts in the category I choose. This is a major improvement.

Actually, I'm only interested in the SUP forum so I just bookmarked Unread Posts for that particular section. That makes it quick and easy.

One more filter would be greatly appreciated.

In "Recent Topics"
I only want to see topics that align with the areas of the Forum I choose....
Once I have collapsed "Foil Zone" as a preference, I want all Topics and posts related to "Foil Zone" to disappear from my page.

That way, when Standup Surf and Paddle folks come here and collapse "Foil Zone" all they see are topics and posts related to areas NOT collapsed

If I occasionally want to see what Foilers are up to, I simply un-collapse "Foil Zone" and voila'... there they are again.
