Recent races can be used as examples, such as the Carolina Cup. What is the average board width used by the best paddlers? What is the average weight of the elite paddlers?  Men or women, though I know weight info can be hard to find. As for the men, I am guessing the average paddler weight is around 150 lbs and the average board width is about 22"?  Thanks for feedback. I have not attended too many races lately but when I see race pics of winners, I am seeing some really fit  paddlers that seem to definitely be below 160 lbs. I know that conditions effect the board width and types of races (like downwind) can impact the board length but I am asking about 14' boards here.

That's probably why he's is not on the international elite category as the OP asking about ;)

I'd say you're not far-off

I seem to remember that several years ago Danny Ching said that the best SUP adult male racers were likely to be between around 150 to 165lbs.

I haven't met many elite racers, but I'd guess Mo Freitas is towards the top end of that range (he's maybe 5ft 10ish I guess) and Eric Terrien will be a bit lighter than that. But this is just a guess from standing next to them.
