I might be visiting the second week of July or in September/October. Anybody available to catch some waves with?

Oh yeah. the usual suspects will be at the usual spots. ;D
Let us know when you arrive. Dawn patrol crew is good crew.

supthewho?

More Zoners than Great Whites around these parts....
just raise the Zoner flag when you get here.... we'll all be over for breakfast, after the dawn patrol session  ;D

I look forward to surfing with you... maybe paddle some creeks as well?

Looks like the July window is 7/6-7/10.

More options after Labor Day.

What's the water temp in Sept/Oct?  Sept 9-16th might be another option.

I think I'll be staying around Eastham.  Hopefully that's close to surfing.

I'm up for creek paddling too.

I don't know the exact number but the water stays warm up here until around November. September is great because most people clear out after Labor Day but the weather is still nice. Better chance of waves as well.

Correction above. I'll be in East Sandwich, not Eastham.

Is that near East Ham Sandwich?
Lettuce meat up.  :D

supthecreek

well the good/bad news

East Sandwich is close to the spooky dude, and it sound like you two should meat.

the bad? it's a long way from the surf....  at least 45 minutes in clear traffic.

pguidry

Not too bad. I live an hour and forty-five minutes from surf. Some spots are up 3.5 hours. I might try to score a place closer to the surf for a night or 2.

I just have to decide July vs September then flesh out the plan.

stoneaxe

I'd do September over July anyday. You'll spend 1/2 your time on vacation in traffic in July on the Cape and then wait in line for every restaurant, beach parking, etc.... September is usually better surf too.

Even Supthecreek often bails from the Cape in July, almost like a snowbird or in his case a wavebird...... Flying south for surf !!

September is better.... the best surf beaches require "resident only" beach stickers in summer. After Labor day it's all good. Except CGB on weekends to Columbus Day.
Waves may be bigger, but not always better than summer.

Looks like it will be September. Any recommendations on board rentals?  I'll explore that along with shipping mine. Let me know if anyone is interested in trying an 8'10" X 31.5 Stu Sharpe Honey Badger
