so in discussing the merits of breaks  we chanced upon this  subject . How many of you fit  into each of these categories
right handed and regular
left handed and regular
right handed and goofy
left handed and goofy

Me I am right handed and goofy

Explanation is easy why....at 7 years old both my brother and i (also right handed) were given skateboards.

Our childhood driveway was on an angle and in our rush to try the boards out we ran from left to right front door to driveway and jumped on and skated down.

One side of the driveway had a path closest to the front door- so we did it..over and over again.

Because the driveway was on the right side of the house and sloped towards the back- we just stood on the boards goofy every time to face downhill.

I can ride switch very well easily on a snowboard now because i completely learned opposite footed.

Right handed and regular on a snowboard but on a sup just as comfortable goofy.   Think it may have to do with the paddle as a power face and brace all in one.

My son surfs regular and boards goofy.  He surfed only backside for a couple of years when he was learning, never would go front.  As a kid, he would throw and draw with either hand.  Preschool forced him right (wife is a lefty, she thought right would be easier on him)

I'm right handed/ very goofy.  Not all that odd, like to use my right hand and put more weight on my right leg.  Overweighting my back foot and back hand made my port tack windsurfing jumps a joke.

Naturally left-handed.. proned 20yrs ago Goofy and loved going backside but find it easy to go right frontside from a SUP parallel start.  Now I am confused.

Lessee, Throw left, bat right, right hand shot in hockey, snow goofy, surf goofy, SUP goofy. Watching Marc A. switch on the drop riding  7'11" absolutely blew my mind. Shark avoidance move??
