I confess, taking a midwinter nap on a Saturday afternoon feels pretty good.

Half in a stupor, the camera gave me the gumption to get off my @ss and get out the door, in a hurry

2 guys just south of old Ricks

I never made it that far.  My summer practice of backside rights was do'n just fine.  Every now and then a decent size set would roll through.  The wave shapes were good even though there was a fair amount of water flowing out from the inside the bar.

On my own for session's last half

Right to dark - good enough to check off February

Yeah Ronny... glad you were out there buddy!....it was a nice evening on the water, calm, quiet and nothing beats the feeling as you pull off your wetsuit and the sun sets over the snowy marsh.

Stoney and I were up north a bit... crappy waves, but a fun outing... the sunset on the way home was a traffic stopper...  :D

Ron - Glad you caught some. Surfed Friday till dark and experienced the new double bar setup you commented on. PB flat water yesterday followed by ancient mariner nap. See ya out there!

Seeing the sun shinning up underneath the clouds with the station in the foreground was fantastic last night.

I got enough yesterday

I just came out of winter sleep myself. Sloppy little waves for a bit with creek yesterday and today a 2 hour 8 mile flatwater paddle in Plymouth followed by a beverage in the hot tub. ... :)

Almost got cut off from my launch spot by shifting ice flows. My plan to come back through the inner harbor didn't work, all iced in. Doubled back around the breakwater and found that a huge slab 200+ yards long had moved on the tide and wedged in amongst the other slabs and left me with just a slot about 3' x 30' long that was closing as I went in. It was gone two mins after I got through.

Here's a panorama of the sunset from yesterday.

After meeting up w Creek on Saturday morning to buy his Allwave and getting a call from him shortly after hitting the road that Stoney was heading toward the Cape for waves, it motivated me to go buy a 6/5 wetsuit as I'm done with letting everyone else have all the fun !! Hibernation is officially over for me... bring on the waves !!!

For some reason that tropical paradise is listed on Surfline as having water temp of 38 versus the Grey Suit territory near Creek at a balmy 40.

Ha... PDLSFR... I was going to reply, when I looked at your updated board list. Since you are the proud new owner of my (ex) 8'10 Allwave... I had to go update my info. Looks weird not to see an Allwave in my list :-\

So glad you got a suit.... no reason to miss out on the winter wave season. I know your family & friends are going to love the Allwave as much as I did :)
