Siesta Key & Sarasota

Just moved here last week to the key, been paddling out of Big Pass (from Beach Access #1) and the mangrove tunnels.

Any other Sarasota peeps?

Im up here in Tampa. Not too far...once i get healed, id take a trip down there. Mother has a condo in Sarasota in the intetcoastal just south of Siesta Key south bridge.

Oh, I've been looking at that area for retirement!  Unfortunately, the wife and kids say I have another decade of work... sigh!

Nice area... plenty of SUP opportunity.

 Wife and I visited Fiesta last year. Really pretty place to paddle and water was exceptional; But lack of surf made it kinda boring after a few hours of paddling. We were actually trying to ride boat wakes in search of waves  ... For people that don't care much for surfing their SUPs, it's a really nice place...         Paddle on,     JD
