Hey fellow paddle surfers,

I just returned form the Big Island and wanted to turn everyone on to Kona Boy's shop in Kealakekua Bay or Captain Cook. The owner frank rents kayaks, snorkel gear, surf boards and ocean going gear, but he also has SUP Boards available. I rented an NSP 11'0" for a week, and he will negotiate a really good rate for long term rentals! He even provided a Leleo Kinimaka paddle, which was sweet! He also has available soft racks and straps if you show up unprepared. Ask for Frank, but say hello to Eli, he ties up up "mean kine". Out of all the so called surf shops, this is by far the most comprehensive one on the island, considering most of the others don't even have leashes much less boards.

Kona Boy's is locates in Keaalakeua Bay on Hwy. 19, just about 10 miles south of kailu-Kona. Call them at
808-328-1234.

Aloha
