any advice on how to paddle or modify paddling with injuries that would be somewhat effective?
Still having a difficult time with the type5 AC separation and looking for ways to mod paddling that would be effective (somewhat).

I could give it a stab at some advice but i dont know what that injury is. Please ecplain that injury in detail.

AC separation means that my clavicle came fully apart from my shoulder joint, enough that the tendon was destroyed so they had to replace a tendon while in there and used a "pulley" system(Graf rope) to pulley my collar bone back down to where it belongs. I think it's easier to paddle on my knees, but i hate paddling like that.

That type of injury is a major game changer for any paddler.  I'd only suggest a shorter paddle with a small blade.  How is your range of motion now?  What about pain?

I had a type 3 A.C. separation last summer- collar bone/ shoulder blade with both ligaments torn, two surgeries got everthing back in place but it took a couple months of p.t. to get enough range to paddle. Being able to swim every day really helped and when I did start paddling a couple inches shorter paddle really helped. Go real easy at first dont push too hard and you will get back to good paddling shape.
