Pretty cool, I've never tried this, but want to.... although not sure if it would be fun to wipe out in front of the prop blade.

To really get a surfable wake, I believe the boat has to be weighted down w/ water ballast bags so that it lists to one side and sends the surfable wake off to the same side.

There is a video somewhere on youtube showing the ballast system.  I think it's also explained this deeper, surfable wake also keeps you from falling into the prop.

Please do not try this behind an inboard/outboard (stern drive) or outboard boat.  The only boats that should be used are inboard boats.  The prop is below the boat and hitting the prop is not an issue.

Here is a good one from 2007 to show how easy it is to do - and how you don't need to be so close to the boat.

Easy rider - cool video.  Noticed your picture, it looks like you are paddling inside a large building.

Indoor wave pool in Edmonton, AB, Canada that I rent out.

The surf is much better now that all the "paddles" that make the waves are fixed.

Dave Kalama was up a few months ago.

Pretty sweet!  The pic with Kalama looks like a good size wave for an indoor pool.   How was the Kalama Kamp?
