I've demo'd a number of race boards (have been paddling for 2 years on an Amundson Aquaglide 11') and have the race fever.  I've tried the 404, Ron House, Hobie Elite, Surftech Bark (all 12'6).  I haven't gotten a chance to try the Kings or SUPLove Stingray.
I, so far am feeling the Hobie Elite and the Bark.

I do most of my paddling in the ocean from glass to chop and wind....does anyone have any particular experience with which one may best handle multiple conditions?  I definitely want to stick with the 12'6 and not go bigger.

Thanks for all comments!

Hey Slickajj,

We just spent 3 hours testing the 2011 Hobie Race  12'6" x 28.875" against the Bark Competitor Elite 12'6" yesterday in flat water in Wisconsin. We have paddled a ton of raceboards....the Hobie is the first that I enjoyed as much as the Bark. In some ways I like it better...in some ways not quite as well. Watch our blog at www.paddleboardspecialists.com. In the next week or so we'll have a very detailed post about the comparison including lots of video. Also feel free to call me to discuss. We had paddlers ranging in weight from 158 to 225 testing them.
Hope this helps.

Terrific, Gary - I look forward to your input.

Anyonelse out there ride these boards out in the ocean with some input?
