Hi, I just got a brand new PSH 9'6" WAA yesterday. Took it out in good so cal (sunset cliffs) swell yesterday and immediately the front of the pad peeled back close to 2 feet. Needless to say, this ruined my session, the flap was really distracting trying do adjust to a new board in big surf. It was also catching water when trying to paddle into the semi-backed off sets or through white water. Came in and switched to my old board and paddled back out, just a little bummed...

I was kind of pissed since the board is brand new, but what ya gonna do? Got it an hour and a half up the coast from here, so it's not like it would be worth a three hour round trip to get it fixed. I bought some 3M 90 spray adhesive today, is that the ticket? Of course I'll follow the directions and tape it all off to protect from over-spray. I will also lay some weights on the deck pad and tape it down overnight at least to make sure it bonds well.

Any words of advice would be appreciated, the sooner the better! Thanks!!

If the stuff you have is a contact adhesive, you won't need to weight the pad down.  Be sure to stick it exactly where you want it the first time it touches the board.  You can't move it around.  As the pad contacts the board, it adheres for good.  Any mess is easily cleaned off the board with goo gone.

I use 3M 77.   Haven't tried 90 yet.
