Anyone know what's going on with Swellinfo (right now, it's not so swell :o)?

I've been reading the SwellInfo forum posts and nobody seems to know. Lots of theories but no answers.

You would think they would have a pop up explaining what's going on.

SwellInfo is/was my main forecast site. It's not perfect but I really like the way the colored graph shows the swells for the week.

Hopefully if/when it comes back, it will be even better than before.

thought this was just me....yeah all greyed out and forecast are not even close to upcoming conditions.  Bummer- also my 'first click' when looking at the forecasts

3 feet, zero wind.....forever-----------clearly, something's wrong

imho swellinfo is only useful for a quick check--the detail and cams on surfline are way better--and magic seaweed is better too, except for the consistent overstatement of wind speed

of course i have surfline pro on a "borrowed" password, so not sure if it's worth the cost

and dont forget ventusky--poke around with that if youve not tried already

so im not crying about whatever's going on at swellinfo

I never use surf forecasts for wind. There are better sites for that such as the local weather and Ventusky.

I like Swellinfo solely for the swell information which is so easy to see with the graph they use.

swellinfo is back--seems not a dupe of surfline, in case surfline bot SwellInfo as rumored

given SL bot Magic Seaweed a couple years ago, SI has control of all my surf forecasting--whatever.....

and all of the forecasters get their wind forecast data from the same place--the US Gubmint--Deep State--NOAA/NWS.

except trump just appointed the owner of the pathetic Accuweather brand to run NOAA---beyond conflict of interest??--kleptocratic!!

This system sure beats calling the payphone on the Long Beach boardwalk and trying to extract from the person who picks up if there are any waves ~ me 1976.

agreed, TD--ventusky is best graphic representation of NOAA/NWS data--even for waves--so nice how you can zoom out, spin the globe and check conditions in.......... sumatra!

I use a combination of two site and they are Ventusky and Windfinder for the conditions found on the upper Texas coast.

BTW, I tried to post two pictures but they are "png" formats so there was an error and wiped out my previous post where I could not post it. Bummer!

I'm glad it's back. I subscribe to Surfline and it is certainly worth the money for me to see the cams.

oddly similar, in fact, like maybe there's been a partner divorce?--i started on windy at stoneaxe's reco, then found ventusky--slightly better, and the phone app works much better

it's a keeper
