Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Has me thinking I might need to put a tuttle in my Simsup.

Hah!  My order is in as well.  At least when I sink mine :) I will still have my controller (in the master/slave setup) to control your camera for you.  I have been playing with the DJI video samples out of these things and, holy mother of Bob.  Very happy that they have a flight simulator and a beginner mode....more soon.

Did you get the insurance? I hear that as long as you can find the remains to send back to them they'll replace it. I'm sure they'd sputter a bit if it was full of water, but maybe?

Yes, they have autopilots, but you still have to fly them And configure all kinds of stuff. At least the autopilot won't drive it into walls like my earlier drones did so very well. My most recent one flew into a homeless guy on a bicycle at the Canoe Hale and did a little food processing on his pant legs after the automatic "return to home" flew it into a coconut tree.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

I was there and can confirm PBill's kill.  Guy didn't know what hit him.

"Kill" is a little strong. I prefer to call it a light bump and a little moderate blending. No homeless bicycle riders were harmed in the testing of the drone. Well, nothing requiring hospitalization anyway. He wasn't pleased to be part of the experiment.

I did get the insurance on both the camera and the drone.  Two aircraft replacements for accidents...yup, need that.  Water is not covered, though.  Waiting...

You've set a high bar Robert.

I am just amazed at the production quality that a solo operator can get out of these marvels.  When I read the spec list and functions available I had to be part of it.

So stoked.

Check out this vid from the guys down in PR, one of the best I've seen. They are Riding "J-shapes" foil and board from NZ. Went to college with Antoine from J-shapes and it looks like they have this dialed in.
