Before glassing, does anyone know the best way to cut drain holes through the top rails when you have a sunken standing area?  Would you just cut through the foam, and is there a best shape and size for the drains to make glassing easier?  Or would you glue a short piece of plastic pipe or something else throught the sides of the rails so you wouldn't have to glass through the inside of the drains?

I would definitely use a pvc pipe.  Make sure you glass down into the pipes at least a little ways.

i would make some fibreglass tube and then push that through i would also put some microfiber slurey around the end of the tube to give a larger area for the glass to bond to and prevent cracks/leaks.

I would make the tube buy taking a pice of thin walled pvc pipe and cut a slit down it so you can squeeze it in when you have rapped the glass around it and have let it cure. you could also do a rap of plastic cooking film to act as a release agent.
