SL... I sense the chocolate theme.  Sounds like you need to come to the 12 step choco habit rehab.  I'm a charter member.  Dark choco only.

Guilty HM!

Today was not a day for counting calories.

It started innocently enough, at the Charger Club buffet before the game.  I can do okay at nice buffets by sticking with the protein...

Then this dude in a chef hat comes over to our table, and starts pushing desserts my way... Because he noticed I hadn't eaten any... He feigned insult and begged me to try his latest... A bananas foster and Nutella panini with caramel ice cream on top... Not wanting to insult our host... Or the chef... I indulged... Then he brought over nearly every dessert from the display to push on me... I played along and ate one or two... Then my wife wanted her picture taken with the chef, which I thought was Wierd,  turns out, he is named Keegan something or other and is on the Food Network. Actually a pretty cool guy...

Holiday over, I will avoid celebrity chefs... And chocolate... And hit it hard tomorrow.

SL

I don't know how you do that SL ??  If I ate that I'd be in the bathroom within a half hour blasting the tile off the walls. Dam !!! I guess I've been Paleo so long I just don't have any inkling to eat that stuff.

Of course it helps that my wife is an incredible cook and is on board with Paleo lifestyle. Had pumpkin pie with almond flour crust and a little honey to make it sweet. Also made pumpkin muffins with almond flour. Also had some 86% Dark chocolate.  I eat a few squares daily :) thats about it ..... ate a tone of turkey, cauli  flower mash potatoes , some paleo stuffing and gravy and PRIME RIB grass fed !!!  Still at my fighting weight 180 .  I love this way of life.

Keep plugging away it gets much easier as time goes by.  Today I had oxtail soup and a big ass salad for lunch and spice rubbed ribs and big ass salad with home made caesars dressing, and a few small sweet potatoes for dinner.

Last night at the seafood buffet- snow crab, mussels, shrimp, seaweed salad, a few slivers of roast beef, and melon ,pineapple, and kiwi for desert.

Evening nightcap- 1 NorCal Margarita. Squeeze the juice of one whole lime, add silver tequila and soda water. An absolutely superb cocktail.

This morning- Tamari almonds, a banana, piece of dried mango, one California Clementine

Mid morning- 2 boiled eggs and two steak tips.

Lunch- will be a cobb salad.

I've been doing Paleo probably 90 % and my weight has maintained steady since the summer.  One thing I've noticed is I eat much less after I cut out bread and grains. No doubt I'd be losing weight on it without beer but... you got to have some pleasure in life!

Old school, it was pretty small. So just two pounds.

SEA, good on ya!  My household is not exactly primal, so it's on me to fight the battle.  There is a time and a place for battling.  I chose not to fight chef Keegan and his amazing desserts... Small, buffet style desserts, but non-primal in ant event.

Greek yogurt and almonds.

A few almonds during the day.

A kind bar (almonds and coconut)

Power shake.

Two dark chic squares

Who cares what the pattern is--I didn't know there were Peppermint M&Ms!

Actually, it looks like you eat a lot of finger food, which is ironic when you think about it.
