NoSalt, I won't be back in Orlando area til the 29th ( late),  if you're around still on the 30th I'll paddle. Not sure they'll let you paddle & fish there but I think Paddleboard Orlando meets Saturday mornings in the city of Winter Park at or very near what's called little dock ( any local around Rollins college can give you directions to it).
If you venture very far away from the Disney area my advice is to steer clear of Lake Monroe, Lake Jessup, & Lake Harney!!! All are saturated with gators, and the sad part is visitors and idiots like to feed them. Enjoy the stay down here and don't forget to take some pics!

I'm staying at Long Point ( north side of inlet), I tried getting a place on the south but all were booked. By snooping around on maps, looks to be some better mangrove/island hopping about 5 miles south of Sebby?

I plan on being in Sebastian inlet for a week (3/15-3/21), then up near what's called Slippery Creek ( just south of Ponce inlet). If any zoners paddle those areas, or would like to, let me know.
Depending on weather/conditions, gonna try to do early morning and late afternoon cruises with most likely at least one full day of paddling/exploring at each area.
I'd offer a board for those that either don't have one for those whose board is in for repairs, but I only own one board. So unfortunately this is a BYOB.

Thanks, got it marked and will have to try it out. Before you posted I talked with a friend that suggested an app. I'll try both out next weekend.
I asked cause so many of your posts begin with the neat map of your route. Thanks again for the link.

How are you mapping where you paddled? is it done on the fly in real time and saved ? I'm very curious and would like to be able to have seen/share routes ive paddled.

I commend you on your goal and cause!!! IMO I understand there's an event , but at the same time water is water, do this when it feels right and appropriate for you. Personally I find it sad that you were not welcomed, almost as if you're attempting to steal somebody's  Thunder.
I'm not saying go and rock their SUP, but for me it's ridiculous how ppl are so offended and easily butthurt. I see absolutely nothing wrong with participating in an event to gain more exposure for your cause. In fact I call that being intelligent and maximizing potential exposure for ALL parties.
You'll never please everybody, and there may be hidden agendas as to why you've encountered resistance... I think the most important things are to just be determined in your goal, be safe, have fun, and to quote commie slave labor Just Do It!!
Whatever day you end up deciding, I'm looking forward to pics/vid, and your experience .

SUP General / Re: Should i get this fixed???

^^^^ well I told the guy he has a month, yes 4 weeks until he heard from me. And I even told him he could have stripped that complete section of traction ( about 18"x 18") since I'd be replacing it all after vacation anyways.  I didn't see any pooling of resin at the edges of the traction cutout. I guess I'm stuck with it, I think from now on I will ask to see first hand examples of repair work before just handing my board over to some random shop.
The last repair (tail/stringer from flying off the roof rack) I had came out so awesome beyond my expectations that I gave a $60 tip , I'm not rich , it just means that much to me to get quality work done.
Anywho, thnx for the feedback I really appreciate it a lot. And hopefully I'll see a few around on the water next month.

Thnx, the repair was somebody I've never used before, the guy that fixed this board last time did an awesome job, so I see the difference in work quality is why I was questioning it. The repair guy I was familiar with quit repairs and now shapes only for some company.
Those look like some bubbles of some kind to me also, or like its "patchy" if that makes sense. Gonna go check alignment today now that i've  got time.
Stoked to get it back though cause I'm taking it with me for two weeks to chill around Sebastian. Now if I can just stay outta the oyster beds I'll be alright.

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd just add the  repairs made here. Picked up the board yesterday and I would really like some opinions ( I can take more pics if needed in different lighting).
    How would you rate these?

The handle

I'm asking rate/opinion because I've seen repairs before that I could never tell where the board was repaired. And based on my very limited exposure to glass repairs I'm not too thrilled right now.
