Heard they're the lighter of the boards... interested particularly in the Hokua 9'3" or 9'6"

All I know is that I would be more interested in the lighter boards that are out there too.  It would be nice to also always see a weight dimension along with the length, width, etc.

the naish 9-03 is about 17lbs without deckpad or fins

cf the 9-03 c4 subvector which is about 23 with pad

the subv is physically larger (wider and thicker) but there is no doubt
the naish is a more light board in construction - how this translates
into strength and durability is an open question

It feels like the new 2010 Naish's are a tad heavier than the old ones.
They have moved the bulk of their manufacturing from Thailand to China which may have something to do with it.
Probably not a bad thing as a bit of extra durability aint a bad thing.

Not too sure on the actual weights of the new naishs but they are definately heavier than the last years models.  I personally think they feel way too heavy for their relative size.  My mate has a new 8'10 (the little pointy one) and it is an absolute tank and way heavier than my other mates old naish 9'6.  I have also had a paddle on the naish 9'5 Mana and couldn't believe how heavy in the water it felt.  I am certainly not in favour of featherlight boards but the naish boards just feel way way too heavy.

I agree, weights would be useful.  I tried the Hokua 8'10, it felt ultralight to me and I'm a lightweight.   I could carry it easily in one hand, so I'm guessing it weighs in at around 15lbs give or take a few.
