My three-session old Werner Spanker has what sounds like about a teaspoon of water in the shaft.  Anyone else have this problem?  I have not been able to identify the source of the leak.  I am sure that Werner will replace the paddle, but I don't want to be without the paddle, so I thought I would first try to fix it myself.

Lots of paddles get leaks. You can spray the paddle with a mix of dishwashing soap and water then put it in the sun or heat it gently with a blowdryer and look for bubbles. Or just drill a little hole in the top of the handle, drain the water and cover it with a little circle of aluminum tape. Next time it fills up a little just pull the tape, drain and replace.

sometimes they stop leaking by themselves--no idea why. My wife's Warner did.

They "take up", which is to say the leak gets clogged with minerals or salt from the water, and eventually the scale  plugs the leak.
