just wanted to get an idea of the difference in these 2 boards.
2016 Lahui Kai 14x27 sup atx version and the 2016 Naish Javelin 14x28 gx.
Mainly the performance side of it, Ive paddled both but not at the same time. I feel the LK sometimes feels slower. I had an eradicator which was faster but too jittery in chop so I sold it. Will the javelin be about the same as the LK?

I'm not a racer as of yet.
  Thanks for any advice

I've also paddled both.. and also not at the same time (because that would be impossible)..  8)

Very different boards.. The GX Jav is defiantly more stable and a better board in downwind and open water conditions.. and I think the Lahuie Kai would have an edge in flat water and upwind conditions.. A lot of people don't like the lift type handle on the Lahui Kai and I've also seen some with deck pad pealing problems with them.. I had a couple of 14x 28 GX Javes and I loved that board.

Thanks David John, Ive seen a lot of your videos- very nice.
I'm more experienced with the LK - I haven't had any issues with build quality yet. Just seems a little slow sometimes compared to the eradicator - could be me.

I demoed a 28 jav a couple years ago as my first 14 and found it almost too stable for my conditions so I opted for a 27 wide board. I really liked the jav though. There has been some leftover 2015s on sale and I'm very tempted . Its always nice to have an extra.
