Are there many SUP riders, places to use race board? Thinking of moving there to be close to family. Long drive to ocean. Lake Sonoma? Anywhere else near Healdsburg? DW at Bodega Bay? Saw surfers at Salmon Creek, but very far to get waves.

Lived for over a decade two counties north of of there...just visited Sonoma again a couple of weeks ago...

Not a very good surfing zone...never was...but, I've gotten it as good as it gets...
Bottom line...you are gonna be by yourself more than you actually want...you can PM me with more direct or specific questions...

Hi,
I know a guy who lives there and big time surf addict, probably not into sup.  he hits all the local spots plus wakesurf lake Sonoma and wave parks.  Seems like he is usually looking for people to go with.  PM if interested.
Cheers
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

Tomales Bay seems to be getting more popular.  You might check with 101 Surf in San Rafael.
