Got a Naish Nalu 11 4 .....great SUP but wondering if anyone has surfed Jimmy Lewis's Hanalei too and can give me a comparison? Thinking about the 10 8 version which is a lower volume board than my Naish and also a little thinner. Just wondering if these boards are too similar of if the JL is a diff ride. (Maybe comparing with the 10 6 Naish is a fairer comparison of course. Thanks.

Resurrecting this because I'm curious, too.

Area 10

The Hanalei is a lot less stable, and is more of a specialised surf SUP than the Nalu, with all the positives and negatives of that, depending on what you want your board for. The Hanalei is more responsive as a progressive-style long surf board and less of a classic longboard style. The Hanalei would double as a flat water board for someone who is light and with decent balance, but if you want all all-rounder the Nalu would probably be better for most people of average weight or above, I'd have thought. The Hanalei is however better-made than the Nalu, and if you want a new-school style longboard then it perhaps deserves more recognition than it gets.
