Vertigo & Flying

My wife has some vertigo today.  And she is scheduled to fly from So. Cal. to San Francisco, for some important meetings.
She is taking Meclizine.  How does flying affect vertigo?

I have to disagree, eyes closed can actually increase vertigo depending on the cause. Certainly does in my case anyway. She may do better focusing on a point during takeoff, a distant sign or someting. Flying isn't too bad. Not that much sense of motion.
