There are three kinds of people in the world:  Those who are good with numbers, and those who aren't.   ;D

;D

Actually there are also 10 kinds of people--those who understand binary, and those who don't.

It just dawned on me (sun comes up late at my house):  the sunken deck has the double bonus of better stability (lower cg) and more powerful paddling (shorter paddle).     ::)

Yes.. But you do have to lift the paddle up and over the sides of the boat.. I mean board..  ;)

I'm the kind of guy that fiddles a lot. I put the extended ergo-t handles on all three of my paddles, and now I'm changing them all the time. I even put a big inverter in my truck so I can run a heat gun to change length at the river. After a few days of fiddling I'm running the Wiki at 83" and the Molokai at 86". Not sure why, they just feel good there. The Molokai I paddle a slow cadence. I tend to pull it a little longer and I think I'm reaching further.

The Wiki I paddle like a lunatic and the paddle comes out of the water early and fast. It's a wicked little taskmaster "hurry up you big slug, reach dammit! pull!". Sure is fast though. If I ever find the charging base for my GPS I'll find out how fast it is.

Oh damn, I just noticed PDX beat me to my joke.

Never thought of that, either, DJ!  And "boat"...nyuck.  ;D

And PB,  I think you should have "wicked little taskmaster" in your paddle brochure.   Sounds sexy.  8)

How tall are you Bill?
In theory, there should be no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is...
