Does anyone know of any good spots for paddling around here in Spruce Grove, Alberta? Still new to the sport and the area...I know of the North Saskatchewan river and the lake in Leduc. Any others?
Also does anyone have any tips for teaching a dog to ride on the board? My dog doesn't seem to even like walking through mud puddles so this could be a challenge! I will be buying her a life jacket regardless.
Thank you.

Hello!! I just moved to Edmonton and am just getting hooked on this. I hear that a group of people go out to Pigeon Lake and I bet Sylvan Lake would be pretty fun as well.  I'm heading out to Buffalo lake next weekend so i can let you know how that goes. It's a 1.5 hr drive from Edmonton.

If you're up for a bit more of a drive/camping adventure, the lakes and reservoirs in Kananaskis are absolutely gorgeous - I drove through there this weekend looking for SUP spots - many of them still had ice though :)

If you find more places up North let me know!!
