This is a flat-water event based in the beautiful marina of the Bayside Shopping center.  The venue is a two story marketplace including a Hard Rock Cafe which will hold thousands of spectators.

All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami.
We are inviting all 2000 of the area's BBBS mentors and kids to come join in the largest ever first time SUP clinic.

The races are 3 mile recreational on Biscayne Bay and a 5 mile elite course which runs up the Miami River and back.  It's a flat water race through downtown Miami's high rise skyline.

Jimmy Lewis will be on hand to crown King Orange Paddle as well as the Queen.  First place in the Inktel Direct Elite 12'6 division will win $3500 and $1500 respectively.

We are seeking Sponsors for other divisions including Elite 50+, Elite Unlimited, etc.
Exhibitors get a waterfront booth with a step down floating dock for demos (supplied by Sport Port).

Sounds like fun.  Hmmm, 5 hour drive for an hour or so of paddling.  But I'll bet the stoke will be hot.  Might have to road trip from Tampa.  Thanks for the heads up.

If I lived anywhere in the SE within 5 a hour driving distance to support such a great event, I would.  I'm in Orange County, CA.  Eric, you have to drive and support the event for those of us who are too far away to drive.  Take pictures, share the stoke of your experience that way we can all enjoy it.

Danny Ching is supposed to be there among other top paddlers so dont expect to win! Should be a huge turn out for this event and will probably be a reoccuring annual event. Now were starting to put the southeast on the map with this and the Sunshine SUP series!

Brenda Lowe of Survivor Nicaragua and Packet Casey, the east coast's winningest paddler will be hosting the largest ever first timer SUP clinic.  We already have nearly 100 people (disadvantaged kids and their mentors) from Big Brothers Big Sisters who are signed up to learn in the event this Sunday in Miami.  We'll need lots of boards, so come on out!
