i have heard great things about the 8.11. i wasn't even aware there was an 8.4 available.

lots of them here in Socal-when you see CMP ripping on his all the time here its pretty easy advertising!-but that guy could rip on a 2X4!
Buddy has a 9-0 i think Sumo deck-great board-great quality-have never heard of anyone that didnt love it.

Do these boards have the rails wrapped with pvc foam?

The 8'4 is only available as a production board in Europe, you still can ask for a custom at Dana Point and have a great board.
Colin Mc Phillips went to France with his prototype 8'4, it's was so good that Hobie Europe put it in production.

Currently I have a 7'11 x 29 x 4 shaped by Marc Johnson, amazing board !!
