that's funny, and keep in mind i am a totally new at all this but my preference on conditions for when to use quads and thrusters seems to be the exact OPPOSITE from everyone else!

like i mentioned before in smaller surf i feel like the quad set up is slower than the thruster but turns much easier, although it is a totally different turn. but in bigger stuff the thruster is way more stable and planted, but i have to work harder to snap a tight turn.

Has anyone tried the Rusty 5 fin setup in a SUP  ????

Info:
Future Fins Rusty 5-Fin

Future Fins classic series is a complete line of classic fin designs, fused with the latest technology. Some of Future Fins top team riders swear by these fins and work with them constantly to dial-in their templates and foils.

The Future Fins Rusty 5-Fin Set is a Lightweight Foam Hex Core Glass Fin that has the look and feel of a glassed on fin. Rusty and Futures have collaborated to create a unique flex pattern that complements all boards, but works insane on EPS boards. Taking the honycomb out of the tip maximizes tip flex making the fins ultra responsive. The Rusty 5-Fin is Future Fins ONLY 5-Fin template, perfect for people with multiple boards that have multiple fin set ups and they are INSANE for people with a 5-Fin set up. Future Fins has engineered the Rusty 5-Fin set with a medium flex pattern that's great for all conditions.

Future Fins Rusty 5-Fin Size Fin Size:
Outline: Rusty
Height: 4.54 in. 11.53 cm
Base: 4.45 in. 11.30 cm
Area: 16.75 in².  95.16 cm²

The Future Fins Rusty 5-Fin: available in Smoke Hex
