Did you try Tropical Blends and runners room Aiea in gobananas.

I'm on the waiting list at tropical blends and I just talked to runners HI and they said to call back on Monday.

Hey Corgi did you try Wheatgrass store at the top of  Waialae Ave, behind Bank of Hawaii in Kaimuki ?

Also The KSO has a 3.5 mm bottom where as the FLOW has a 2 mm bottom. KSO I believe has better Vunna protection , being that it's sole is thicker.

Hi SEA,

I called the Wheatgrass store a couple days ago and there all out right now, they're hoping to get their order in soon and told me to call back.
I tried on the KSO, Sprint and Classic when I was at tropical blends but they only had one color choice (not a color I liked) but I know the 42 fit the best.  The owner (Tom) said they all work but he prefers the Classic or Sprint because if sand gets in you can loosen it and slide the heel off to get the sand out.  He said its almost impossible to get the KSO off while your on your board.  I asked him if that would cause them to come off easier he said he normally uses the Classics up to 5' surfing  and they have never come off on him.  I guess it more of a personal choice.

I ordered a pair of Sprint from this website

http://www.vibramweb.com/

They sold all the different models for $74.00 w/ free shipping.  Website said 5-7 days shipping but we'll see. They also had a good selection of colors and sizes.  ;D

How many inches are your feet??  Mine is 10.5 and the chart says 42 I believe. Anyway wonder if yours are same since you ordered 42. Some people say to get one size bigger. I don't know I have never had any.

sizing is a guide only - you really have to try them on
and may need diffent sizes for different models (odd i know
but foor width and shape is a big factor)

walk around the shop in them - if you find they are the wrong size
after a use in the sea you wont be able to change them

My shoe size is 10- 10.5 depending on the brand.  IMO (bigdom) is correct, you really need to try them on.  Tropical Blends was really helpful to me and thats how I found out the 42 fits me best.

Out of curiosity, how were the fakes in comparison to the real thing?  Were you able to compare?

The real ones are virtually impossible to find these days.   I think the Chinese manufacturers are spending more days making the fakes than the real ones.

New Bikila model looks sweet.  More of a hardcore terrain version of the KSO.

Yeah they show pics of the shoe but no one stocks them. The Flow is another model that is hard to come by on Oahu.

From what I've heard the Flow might get discontinued and the Bikila is delayed to be released this fall instead of now.  Who knows  ???
