Have you guys seen / tried this one?
It looks strange but the concept is very intereting...

Here goes the link for the website if you want to check it out: http://www.turbotunnel.com

Skip Savage (www.skipsavage.com), an East Coast Legend long boarder uses these exclusively.  I've ridden a few of his boards when he was teaching me and they ride really well.  I'm not that familiar with all the intricacies yet, but, his have a smoother ride and more stability than mine does.  He said they provide a really nice flow for nose riding.  I know he's used them in CR and Hawai'i, as well as Cali

Hey PPower! Been back there since then? I've been dreaming about that place...

I'm heading back down to mainland in June.... might have to head a little bit more north of my normal spot and hit that up.

Back to fins: Stamps just made a Viking in the 10' range with a thruster set of GLs on it... somebody in Cardiff picked it up and last I heard the guy was ripping it and stoked with the whole setup... I tried substituting the back fin with a 6" fin to see how it felt and it was a no go- board didn't feel as lively- put the regular fin back in and it was game on. Weird how the set goes together so well.

Fins make such a big difference... fun but sometimes frustrating when there are too many variables.

Hey John, i'm going to have to make a trip over your neck of the woods to try some of your fins! Do you use any FCS?

Hey Marcelo-

Sorry no FCS - but no worries, just hop on my board. Let me know when you're coming down.

Yeah- similar to the FCS curvy ones.... any idea what the thinking is behind those?

Cool!  I know a board that it would like really cool on.  Matching carbon/kevlar rails and deck plus all the other weirdness that works great.  Maybe they'll send me a pair of those.

ha apparently the few first versions of the naish 7'9'' SUP had the butt nose. I saw the production board today. It looks awesome. I really hope to test one soon.

Does this fin help with catching waves? Does it improve turning for a wave? How much for a set? Does anyone have dimensions?

They only help if you have the "turbo" button installed.

John...we are returning to Sinaloa in Oct! You got bigger gonads than me ....i did the whole Baja scene from the 80's to the 90's and I am completely sketched to go again. I know the SUP potential is wide open there, but I like life. Thanks for the tips on the fins.....going to pick up a set right now!
