Flat water / racing stand widths?

Just to throw in here the thing that I like the most about the f-18 displacement hull vs the Bark which is flat is that the f-18 is much more "sea worthy" in the sense that the board rides over side chop/boat wakes so much better...it is more tippy but if I can keep the deck flat it just rides over the big water so nice where as the flat bottom board with the square rails are really tough to handle for me in side chop
