Is Kiteboards online store legit?
« on: May 11, 2023, 04:13:51 AM »
What's up with this store? Virtually everything they sell is under $100. https://www.kiteboards-onlinestore.com/

Lots of foil gear.

Easy Axis Wake/Pump/Lightwind Foil Package $98.99? https://www.kiteboards-onlinestore.com/easy-axis-wake-pump-lightwind-foil-package/

Something seems very fishy. They claim to be out of Freemont, CA.

Looks like a scam to me.
The address is a home address.
The server is located in Amsterdam.
The website has been registered recently.
Scamadvisor gives them a trust score of 1/100.

Doesn't even come close to passing the smell test. https://www.kiteboards-onlinestore.com/mackite-high-fly-kite-foil-package/

MacKite would be as surprised as anyone. Looks like they scraped content from other sites and then randomly price stuff at 95.99 or 99.99.

Sharp eye on the MacKite package. As long as the scammers remain this obvious, we don't have much to worry about. I feel bad for those just entering the sport who aren't familiar with products and prices yet. That's who the scam is aimed at I'm sure.
