what year is this Glide?

Local guy has what appears to be a 14' carbon Glide...........it's very rough, but likely can be had for an appropriate price. I want this as a beater board to get friends interested and as a no risk downwind tool - read to learn and get better on.

Know I want the V2 version, believe that's 2012 and newer, but the offset handle is what's got me confused. Anyone with some "for sure" ID capabilities would be great  - thanks in advance

I don't know the year, but that one is fine for the right price, What you DON'T want unless you're in the Gorge is the one with the crazy nose rocker that turns it into a 12' board with two feet of the nose off the water. That ain't it. The Alladin's shoe version is great in the goge on big swell days since it fits the short period big stuff. But it's still slow whenever it's not in a bump.

thanks for the reply Bill. That's why I'm wanting the 2012 - 2014 version, [V2 I believe they're referred to as]........the 2011 is the real elf shoe, the ones after that lowered the nose rocker significantly. At least that what the interweb tells me 

It is indeed a find, but again it is ROUGH, some real amateur repairs, including I think use of epoxy to put on deck hold downs - pretty ugly stuff

Close to sure but still an educated guess is that it is a 2011 and not a V2, based on the tail shape alone (in the video). Still a nice board in carbon. They made them well back then.

2011 had yellow trim, but 2010 were all white.  Wow, the years fly by...

Yup, seen that one. A bit if a drive from the Pacific NW……….pretty sure 2102 & 2013 are the V2 and last of the 27” wide.

Think I have answered my own question by reviewing the video. The handle is offset on the 2011 they’re comparing to the 2012, and the logo just above it is dead match for the picture I posted…….unless of course it is a 2010, which I didn’t even realize Naish had made.

A kayak guy I know just took the plunge when one of these showed up on Craigslist here in Alaska. It looks just like the one posted up above and only 200 more than the price in California zip. Nice board, I tried it out. If I hadn't already gone to unlimiteds... I would have gotten it myself

The 2011 in the video has an offset handle like the board in question (and the tail matches as has been pointed out).  Obviously, the way to tell is to get a side shot of the rocker, but I'm guessing that's the elf shoe.

That said, you're on a good quest for the v2.  I've got one and don't think I'll ever sell it. Very well made and, despite all the innovation/progression, it's really decent speed-wise.  Great for taking guests out as it's durable, stable and the secondary stability is so good thanks to that rocker.

Hope you can find one.

2011 or 2010 elf shoe, for sure.  The tail shape gives it away.  I have a 2012 v2,  it's a keeper.. one of the best short period steep wave downwind boards, ever.
