I use lockrack.

Lockrack is by far the best solution I've seen to date both on convenience and security!

I own locking cables but for every security device, there's an even more determined thief out there.  I usually book hotels with easy access ground floor rooms and bring boards that I can carry inside the rooms at night.  Other than purchasing a 14+ foot long van that I'd only used for SUP, cables, locking racks and room transfers have been my solution.

I've actually thought (deviously) of not locking a couple of boards I'm hoping to replace in the coming years and parking on the street near my daughter's house.  "Giving" back to the community, so to speak  ;).   If only thieves were so cooperative...

I recently broke my second Kanulock buckle, they served me well for 6-7 years.

Liking the Lockrack idea, do they fold flat when not in use?

Yes, you can slide the arms in sideways so that they're stored in a locked, flat position.

lockrack seems pretty pricey--330$, and that's just for that which you attach to the rack you already bought

and i am done with racks--shove the board in your vehicle, get rid of the rack, all of it, and watch your fuel costs plummet

lockrack is one of best I have use

I just bought the short arm set to carry one board either surf or race board and I have the long arm to carry 2 boards (2 surf or race boards) or one dugout board or kayak or canoe.

only negative of lockrack is you cant carry more than 2 boards per set of lockrack.
